As we wrap up March, we celebrate a powerful start to 2025! This month marks the end of our first quarter, and we are proud to have successfully carried out two impactful projects both advancing justice, dignity and equality for women and girls in Tanzania.

  • International Women’s Day Free Legal Aid Clinic

To honour International Women’s Day, we provided nine days of free legal aid to the most vulnerable community members. Our two dedicated legal aid attorneys reached over 30 individuals, ensuring they received essential legal support.

Through this clinic, we uncovered a major gap in legal knowledge—many community members were pursuing justice through incorrect legal pathways, leading to missed deadlines and lost cases. This highlights the urgent need for more legal awareness to ensure justice is truly

accessible to all.

Our legal aid attorneys, Victoria Mleoh and Nyalaga Kongola, worked with Arusha community members during a legal aid clinic held in Arusha on International Women's Day.

  • Religious Leaders Training

At the end of March, we conducted an important training program for religious leaders. Why religious leaders? Because they are among the most trusted figures in our communities. Women and children often turn to them first when facing legal challenges. However, many lack legal rights awareness and the proper procedures to guide those in need.

By equipping religious leaders with legal knowledge and skills, we empower them to:

  • Assist their communities in accessing justice.

  • Challenge oppressive traditions that violate women’s and girl's rights.

  • Become champions of change, fostering a future of equality and justice for all.
